At least we know the upcoming RPG won't replicate Diablo Immortal's much-criticized microtransactions. That’s reassuring after a Diablo 4 leak from last month revealed a controversial Diablo 3 feature is making a comeback. Player reaction has largely been positive, with fans praising the leak’s gritty visuals and weighty combat. With Diablo 4 set to release next year, expect a lot more work to be done and changes to be made before we get our hands on it. Halfway through the 38-minute video, a short feedback survey even pops up, asking the player for their thoughts on the game in its current state. Lots of buildings are missing their textures, a few icons are yet to be put in, and some sound effects are absent. Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy. The footage is clearly taken from an early version of the game.

Now he’s a core class.įollow me on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. It was really weird to bring the Necro back in a standalone package in D3, but that was the result of an aborted expansion, I believe. Like before, I think this class will return. No double hand crossbows I guess, though. Rogue, Assassin, Demon Hunter, they’re all branches of the same tree, even if the name keeps changing. We’ll see what they think about bringing it back. Again, it’s a wholly unique style of play and was a big hit in Diablo 3. While I firmly believe Paladin will return, I think it may be a toss-up between Monk and Amazon for the second class. This is just the Sorcerer/Sorceress called by a different name. While Diablo 3 did get a Necromancer and have the Witch Doctor, I think there’s too much overlap between the two pet-based classes in D4 to see the Witch Doctor make a return over some of these others.
